What causes arthritis in young people?

I’m 19 and have arthritis. It sucks. Like when it gets cold outside that’s when its the worst. My hands (especially my fingers) get very stiff. My knees do as well and sometimes there’s painful popping and I can hardly move them.
What causes arthritis in young people? Like I heard that if your parents have it, you’ll get it. But my mom doesn’t and my dad doesn’t. I did dance when I was a kid, but nothing with tumbling and leaping. I also played sports like baseball and I did marching band for 5 years.
What causes arthritis and is there any treatment like OTC treatment for it? It doesn’t bother me everyday, so I don’t think I need a script, but its worse now that is cold. Its bearable most days tho
P.S. The reason I don’t think I need a script is because my Doc told me we should wait and see.

Maybe it’s cuz you cracked ur fingers alot…..I have arthritis in my fingers and I play guitar….I can pretty much only play if my hands are warm.
