anyone know ANYTHING about arthritis?

i was just diagnosed with arthritis in a small area in my right foot, right on the joint area. this has made it difficult to walk in heels, which i thought maybe i broke or tore something. but its arthritis.
what causes arthritis and how can you get rid of it?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news: Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease. Once the cartilage begins to break down, it doesn’t regenerate. There are some newer treatments for certain joints, particularly injections to help cushion them. One for knees is called Synvisc; it replaces the natural fluid so there is less stress on the joint (cartilage). However, there is no actual cure. There is no way to reverse the damage (regrow the cartilage).
